Due to continued growth and expansion into the US, Apexx is in search of an experienced Technical Pre-Sales Manager to collaborate closely with our Co-Founder/President, supporting our Enterprise Merchants in the US. The ideal candidate should have robust technical and analytical abilities, a firm grasp of the eCommerce payments market, and a proven track record in leading a Technical Pre-Sales division for a payment gateway company.
DESIRED BEHAVIORS & COMPETENCIES:
- 5+ years of experience in a Technical Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering role within the eCommerce payments sector.
- Proficiency in Payment Gateways, Cards Payments, Acquiring, 3D Secure, Alternative Payments, Buy-Now-Pay-Later, and other related payment functions.
- Experience working with Enterprise Merchants in implementation, technical account management, or customer success capacities.
- Strong Stakeholder Engagement skills, able to collaborate effectively with senior individuals internally and externally.
- Expertise in working with APIs.
- Proficient in the use of Postman.
- Proficiency in documenting and diagramming end-to-end eCommerce payment flows.
- Experience in any of the following is advantageous:
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills (MySQL, Snowflake, Postgres).
- Intermediate knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience using Grafana.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Process-driven with a customer-centric mindset.
- Maintains meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and adept at multitasking.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all Technical Pre-sales matters related to our US clients.
- Conduct presentations for key stakeholders.
- Keep internal and external key stakeholders informed about progress, issues, and risks related to implementation and technical projects.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Implementation, and Operations teams to minimize time-to-live and provide a seamless customer experience.
- Assist merchants with integration and testing.
- Conduct training sessions for APEXX merchant portal users.
- Support merchants through go-live and ramp-up.
- Identify, escalate, and track technical and product issues.
- Assist merchants by leveraging product knowledge and payment industry expertise.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of how APEXX products and integrations function end-to-end, based on user and developer documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with our product delivery team to comprehend new product releases and their potential impact on customer experience.
- Generate knowledge content for our clients to access online and maintain internal documentation that supports APEXX’s product suite up to date.
