JOB DESCRIPTION

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in Pune, India. Our successful candidate is someone who can hit the ground running on the fundamental accounting tasks and responsibilities, someone who is excited about being part of a fast-growing company that’s trying to make a positive mark in the payments industry. You will be a collaborative team player, have excellent attention to detail and be able to interpret data whilst working on multiple tasks.

This role will suit someone who has previously worked in a position of responsibility as a Finance Manager in a practice for a substantial amount of time, and is looking to take on a larger responsibility, and lead various Finance functions across the business.

DESIRED BEHAVIOURS & COMPETENCE

  • Highly numerate, well-organised, and with high attention to detail

  • Highly competent at Microsoft Office with particular expertise in Excel

  • Audit background

  • Competent at NetSuite (or other modern accounting software)

  • Previous experience managing month end/year end

  • Experience with VAT regulations

  • Deadline-oriented and an ability to stick to time constraints

QUALIFICATIONS

CA/CWA/CFA (or equivalent)/studying for exams will suffice. Or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and execute financial tasks and projects of the organisation.

  • Make estimates of funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives of the organisation.

  • Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecasts.

  • Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organisations.

  • Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.

  • Evaluate the financial performance of the organisation and measure returns on investments.

  • Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the organisation.

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payables and Receivables which includes-

  • Processing supplier invoices and maintaining related authorizations

  • Reconciliation of vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies

  • AR reports on a monthly basis

  • Creating and maintaining monthly Sales invoices

  • Maintaining ledgers

  • Manual billing and invoicing

  • Recovering outstanding debts

  • Monthly AP reports

Other responsibilities:

  • Month end reconciliation of payments across banks and in GBP, EUR, NOK + USD.

  • Reconcile all payments made via PLEO + AmEx.

  • Entry of payroll journals

  • Enter Revenue Share accruals.

  • Entry of accrual journals

  • Create merchant invoices + send them out once approved.

  • Payroll – work closely with local HR Manager and external accountants to coordinate monthly payroll process

  • Support external accounting firm and the London team with all aspects statutory accounting for the Apexx India
