At Beam, you get to do work that matters for the world. We’re solving the world's toughest social problems with an incredible team, tech and AI. And we’re growing fast 🚀

It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is.

Join a company at the forefront of social impact, driving first-of-its-kind positive change. You’ll be part of a high-performance culture where you'll make a huge impact, rapidly progress your career, and truly enjoy your work.

From top-tier coaching and personal development budgets to competitive salaries, we take care of everyone who works at Beam.

We’ve already seen incredible growth from our Beam Notes product, helping frontline workers save over 8 hours of admin per week. From social workers and NHS clinicians to mental health practitioners and safeguarding specialists, nearly 100,000 frontline workers across the UK, US and Australia are now using Beam Notes regularly to deliver faster, more human-centred support.

Australia is a key strategic bet. Life Without Barriers, our flagship partner, ran a pilot that delivered 51% admin reduction and 94% higher staff satisfaction across their support workers. The path to A$100M ARR over 3–5 years is credible and the timing is now. We’re hiring the operator who will own the build.

The Role

We’re seeking a Head of Sales & Partnerships (Australia) to be the permanent, single-threaded leader of Beam’s Australian market. This is a hands-on role for an experienced commercial leader who is excited to own a whole geography.

You will report directly to our UK-based Chief Commercial Officer, with regular access to our CEO and the senior leadership team. You will own the Australian P&L and be the voice for the entire AU market to our business - including resourcing needs, product feedback into central engineering, and the judgement calls that determine how we win.

You will inherit a high-performing team of four (3 AEs and 1 CSM, with a Customer Support & Enablement hire about to come on board), and a clear mandate to scale to ~8 FTEs by end of 2026 - backfilling current secondments with permanent local hires and building from there.

This is not an ivory-tower role. You will be in deals, on planes, in front of state and federal government leaders, NFP CEOs, and enterprise human services executives. You will be Beam’s figurehead in Australia - at events, with the press, in the sector. And you will be the operator who codifies how this team wins, so the playbook outlasts any single person.

You’ll be:

  • Owning the Australian P&L. Leading the commercial growth of the Australian market end-to-end through new logo acquisition, partnership development, account expansion, and customer success, whilst being accountable for revenue, retention, and the path to A$100M ARR.

  • Acting as the figurehead for Beam in Australia. Owning our most senior relationships across central and state government, enterprise human services providers, and the leadership of major NFPs. Representing Beam at sector events, with the press, with regulators, and with the most influential voices in the market.

  • Building and coaching an elite team. Inheriting four high performers and scaling to ~8 FTEs by end of 2026. Hiring, ramping, coaching, and shipping the enablement that turns great people into a great team.

  • Closing the deals only you can close. Owning the most senior, most complex, most strategic conversations personally — the ones where the buyer needs to hear from the country leader, not the AE.

  • Codifying how we win. Identifying and implementing the systems, rituals, and playbooks that move the team at pace and compound performance. We are still drafting the roadmap, not just following one.

  • Being the voice of the AU market in centralised decisions. Translating local insight into product priorities, commercial strategy, and resourcing cases that get heard at the leadership table.

  • Establishing category leadership. Building Beam’s sector reputation in Australia — through customer outcomes, public commentary, and a credible point of view on the future of frontline human services.

You’ll have:

We are interested in evidence of capability, not tenure. The strongest candidates will be able to point to specific, recent examples for each of the below.

  • Proven dealmaker. You’ve closed A$1M+ ACV into regulated buying (state or federal government, NDIS provider, enterprise NFP, or comparable) inside the last two years.

  • Exceptional EQ. You diagnose what is actually driving decisions in an organisation, and meet the buyer there; the CEO's reform agenda, the workforce they're losing, the audit they just failed, the reputational risk they're holding.

  • Demonstrable bias to action. You have done 0→1 before, at a venture-backed company that subsequently scaled meaningfully. You wrote the first version of the pricing, the ICP, the qualifying questions, the close plan.

  • Build things that compound. Playbooks, tooling, rituals, hiring bars. The kind of system that allows your team to scale beyond your direct input.

  • Executive gravitas. You can move from a Departmental Secretary in Canberra to the CEO of a 5,000-person NFP the same afternoon, and both meetings end with the buyer wanting to work with you.

  • Track record in regulated, complex industries. You have closed SaaS deals in complex procurement systems, and held the tension of moving at startup pace inside a heavily regulated buying environment.

  • World-class team leader. You are a talent magnet, have built elite teams before by implementing systems and ways of working that allows your direct reports to thrive and scale beyond your input.

Nice to have:

  • Direct exposure to govtech, NDIS-adjacent commercial leadership, or central/state government as a primary buyer.

  • A founder or near-founder seat at a venture-backed business — you’ve been in the first three commercial hires at a startup that went on to raise meaningfully.

  • Mission-driven sector experience - B-Corp, social enterprise, or impact-led startup background.

  • An existing network in the AU human services sector that you can activate from day one.

This role is not for you if you:

  • Prefer a finished org chart, defined pipeline and clean ICP before you can operate.

  • Spent the last 5+ years in a mature SaaS motion and want a step up in title, not scope.

  • Have never sold directly to senior stakeholders at complex organisations (Private, Public or NFP).

Success looks like:

In 90 days:

  • Comprehensive ramp on Beam’s product, sector, and pipeline; a clear and defensible diagnosis of what is working and what needs to change

  • Defined the GTM plan for H2’26, with clear plan for what it takes to win in Australia

  • Identified priority verticals and implemented systems to bolster pipeline throughput in select verticals

In 12 months:

  • Delivered against ambitious logo and revenue commitments.

  • Voice of authority in market, having sourced and presented at flagship events, effectively generating inbound

  • Beam materially recognised as a category leader in human services AI, as measured by sector reputation, event presence and inbound channel exceeding 20% of volume.

In 3-5 years:

  • A$100M+ ARR business in Australia.

  • Market leader in multiple human services verticals, delivering real-world value for millions of Australians
