🛠️ Our Brand and Creative Team
Our Brand & Creative team forms the creative core of bloomon. It is a team of 8 and is part of the Brand & Range team of 13 people. We’re responsible for our global brand strategy and creative output, and work with teams across the business in all markets to bring this to life.
Within the Brand & Creative team we’re a dynamic bunch of creative thinkers spanning Creative, Copy/Content, Social and PR. We use customer insight and creative flair to build uplifting and innovative brand experiences for our customers and constantly challenge ourselves to do better. We are one team with Range who develop and design our physical products ranges across categories - from bouquets to small gifts. We collaborate closely with Customer Insight to inform our thinking, with the Commercial team to ensure our plans resonate in their local markets, and with our Digital Product and Design teams on our website and app.
We design and create almost everything in-house and are passionate about who we are as a brand and how we show up in the world - and we love seeing bloomon grow, so we work at a fast pace, pouring joy and care into everything we do.
🛠️ The job
We’re looking for a junior graphic designer / art worker (DTP) with a design background to join the bloomon Creative team.
This position is 16 hours per week.
Key activities: formatting of visual assets and translations (knows how to translate designs into proper art works)
⚙️ What will you do?
As our junior graphic designer/art worker, you'll be at the heart of the Design team. You will put the finishing touches on a variety of projects to make sure our brand and visual guidelines are on point. In this role, you must be able to bring a sharp eye for detail and strong technical support for your creative colleagues. You do all the work with a passion and maintain our visual standards as outlined in our brand guide and templates.

  • Formatting artwork into templated assets for digital and offline channels maintaining the visual standards as outlined
  • Online activities for bloomon: produce paid ads based on designer master templates, photoshop or adjust product imagery, design and reproduce filters for our products (e.g. stickers and labels), produce CRM newsletters in FIGMA
  • Offline activities for bloomon: produce and prepare print-ready flower cards in all languages based on master templates and copy input, packaging, marketing inserts (flyers)
  • Managing and understanding the print process and techniques and being able to liaise directly with printers for greeting cards, flower cards, press/event materials, and packaging
  • Tighten our visual identity and spot misalignment of assets or touch points; be proactive in making fixes and improvements
  • Stay at the forefront, and on top of your technical skills and best practices, keeping strict control over the quality of work files and deliverables
  • Work on briefs from key stakeholders, working closely with project managers from start to finish
  • Anticipate on last-minute design requests.

✅ What do we expect from you?

  • 1+ years of relevant experience, preferably for a company or brand with a variety of physical and digital assets
  • Being the perfectionist when it comes to all areas of graphics - from document set up all the way through to outlining your fonts for print
  • Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a particular focus on Adobe Photoshop / Indesign / Illustrator, Premier Pro, After effects
  • Photography and/or retouching experience (using Lightroom/PSD) is a must
  • Technically skilled, with experience in producing printed collateral and packaging is a must
  • Video editing or motion graphic experience puts you at the top of the list
  • English language skills.
