Content designer

We’re looking for a content designer who can turn complicated information into easy to understand and actionable content. As a seed stage business, we value pragmatism and progress over perfection.

About Prosper

We are on a mission to revolutionise how we save for the longer term.
We are a fintech start up based in the UK with team members across Europe. We are striving to create an investment and savings platform that puts control and choice back in consumers’ hands.
We believe that legacy solutions for long term investing and saving are expensive, the language in them is often complex, the charges obscure or hidden and the digital experiences dated and clumsy.
Meanwhile, the new solutions tend to focus on the first-time investor and are heavily biased toward trading, as opposed to saving for the long term. We are not here to serve the next generation of savers by getting them hooked on RobinHood.
We have set out to create something different.
Because we believe that everyone, from experienced investors to beginners, can benefit from a platform that makes saving for the future easy, accessible and cost-effective.
We know there’s not much to see in the wild about us… yet! But get in touch, and we can show you what we’re working on.

The content designer role

You will produce, manage and improve content at Prosper.
Because we’re a start up, you’ll be working on lots of different types of content, such as the app, the website, marketing and customer emails and sometimes compliance documents.
But you will never work alone, you will collaborate regularly with product and topic experts.
You will also work closely with our designers and developers to help shape the best ForMore user experience.
You will create, manage and improve our internal content processes so that we can produce content efficiently and consistently.
You will look after our copy system (currently in Notion) to help make sure our content is easy to find and use.

What we are looking for

Essential skills
Fluent in English with strong English writing skills. Ability to work collaboratively with designers, product managers, developers and financial experts.
Strong organisation, time management and self starter skills.
Ability to manage and prioritise your own work load and to-do list.
Strong UX and digital content skills – this is a new product so we need someone who can confidently design content for lots of different user experiences and touch points.
Some digital content strategy experience to be able to support with establishing consistent and accessible content processes.
Some marketing copywriting skills to able to support with marketing the product to our users.
Some experience of agile and waterfall ways of working, such as creating and working to copy tickets, attending stand ups and refinement and retrospective sessions.
Knowledge of how to design clear, engaging and accessible financial content.
Desired skills
Knowledge of tools like Notion, Slack, Figma and Miro. Experience in the discovery, research and testing stages of the design process so that you can contribute to new product and feature developments.
Experience of working in financial services such as banking, investing, pension or insurance.
Experience of managing and maintaining a copy system. Our new copy system is currently in Notion and is ever-growing.
Knowledge and experience of content management systems (CMS) so that when we set up our CMS you can help make sure it is a smooth transition.
Knowledge of SEO best practices to help create a website that can properly target our users.
