As a Customer Operations Software Engineer, your role is to provide exceptional support to Loadsure’s customers and Customer Experience team by providing technical skills in the areas of data processing, customized software development, and automation of internal and customer processes.

You will be highly organised and comfortable building relationships and working with all levels of the firm. Stakeholder management and communication will be vital to the success of the role.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues quickly. Key Responsibilities;

• Develop and implement custom software pricing/rate cards for clients on Loadsure portals and through integrations
• Automate the deployment and testing of software pricing/rate cards
• Process coverage for batches of customer shipments via spreadsheet reporter process using data upload scripts and utilities
• Develop enhanced upload scripts and utilities to improve and expand on data processing capabilities
• Develop changes and new features within the Loadsure portal to improve the customer experience, digitize and automate manual processes, and drive a reduction in support cases
• Develop new tools to reduce labor and increase the efficiency of the Customer Experience team
• Assist with Application Programming Interface (API) questions and troubleshoot issues to expedite go-live timelines
• Assist with additional ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned by the Head of Projects and Operations department
• Ability to work primarily within the US Eastern time zone, with flexibility to support other time US/European zones as-needed.

• Proven attention to detail/extreme precision in the development of high quality solutions and accurate data processing
• The ability to work within an unstructured environment and without clear guidance

Skills and Qualifications;

Essential;

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communications skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced work environment
• Provide excellent software and systems problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for resolving customer and operational issues
• Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript for development of software solutions
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation
• Experience with SQL and relational databases for data manipulation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated deployments
• Familiarity with file formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, and their corresponding libraries
• Experience with the development and implementation of automated testing solutions
• Integration experience (REST-based APIs, JSON, Postman)
• Eagerness and willingness to learn
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-starter and takes initiative
• Proficiency with business tools such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides and/or Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• High level of English proficiency is required

Desirable;

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for managing microservices.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools for keeping track of automated processes and data workflows.
• Understanding of insurance and insurance distribution
