The Role

// Masabi is seeking developers to join our growing Justride Validation team. This team manages the backend server infrastructure powering ticket validation and the software running on field devices.

Our servers need to be highly reliable, ensuring smooth operation during rush hours in major cities, with performance and reliability critical both on servers and devices. With thousands of Validators in the field, we monitor and manage these devices to maintain their performance and support network growth.

In this role, you’ll contribute to maintaining existing devices and scaling our Validator network, working on products highly visible to our customers.

About you

• Strong core Java/Kotlin and object-oriented programming skills, with experience in implementing high-quality, high-performance software.

• Strong native Android development experience.

• Understanding of architectural patterns used to build highly available services.

• An interest in working with Linux-based IoT devices is a plus, as you’ll have opportunities to help maintain our embedded Linux stacks and the hardware they run on.

• Collaborative mindset, thriving on teamwork and working closely with colleagues across different areas of the business.

• Adaptable approach to implementing high-quality, high-performance software, whether for cloud servers, serverless architectures, or constrained devices.
