Role Description

// We are looking for an exceptional client-facing technical Project Manager with substantial commercial, relationship management, project control and negotiation skills to implement our cloud-based fare payment platform at the world's most significant and vital transit agencies.

Transit experience is highly desirable, as you will manage the implementation of full-fare solutions throughout their entire lifecycle, from design to long-term strategies, including software, hardware, integration points, launch planning, and long-term adoption strategies. This involves working on complex fare collection projects, partnering with system integrators, and providing guidance on Masabi's fare payment solutions for digital transformation.

This role will be an opportunity to work with the most innovative minds in public transportation and power journeys for millions of riders.

Location

// This role is available in a fully remote model for candidates based in Central and East Coast time zones in the continental US and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex technical projects in transportation and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), ensuring end-to-end system delivery with a focus on seamless execution and project goals.

  • Work closely with agencies to design and configure system requirements, leveraging technical expertise in the JustRide platform and a deep understanding of transit industry use cases.

  • Oversee multiple workstreams, including system configuration, software development, agency training, user acceptance, and launch preparations.

  • Collaborate with system integrators and embedded technology models within project delivery.

  • Manage financial and commercial aspects of project delivery, ensuring profitability and effective cost control from pre-bid to post-delivery.

  • Build strong executive and stakeholder relationships, fostering trust and collaboration at all levels.

  • Create and manage delivery schedules, negotiate critical requirements, and oversee complex senior-level relationships.

  • Partner with business development, account managers, and internal teams to scope requirements and define feasibility and costs for new or existing opportunities.

  • Represent agency interests in meetings, assess risks, and implement management strategies with effective controls and communication.

About you

// We’re looking for someone who thrives on challenges, finds fulfilment in delivering impactful results, and has experience in some of the following areas:

  • Proven experience managing projects in complex, technical environments, including large-scale system migrations

  • Familiarity with project management frameworks such as Agile, PMP, PMBOK, or Prince2, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to solve problems effectively

  • End-to-end project lifecycle experience, from bid to delivery, with full responsibility for multiple projects

  • Experience in managing projects with a configuration component and SaaS delivery methodology

  • A creative and strategic thinker who can thrive in dynamic situations and enjoy solving complex problems

  • Strong strategic-level negotiation skills within large multinational organizations

  • Comfortable using tools like Microsoft or Google presentations, documents, spreadsheets, and project management solutions such as MS Project, Gantt charts, or Smartsheets

  • A true team player who values strong internal dynamics and believes in the power of collaboration

Highly desirable

  • Interest or experience in transit or smart-city applications

  • Knowledge or exposure to full fare collection systems, Mobility-as-a-Service, payment processing, or credit card transactions
