The role


We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-weight Product Manager to join our dynamic and impactful Product Team. In this role, you will be a key driver of product development, owning features and initiatives from ideation through launch and iteration. You will work across MUBI's diverse ecosystem, playing a crucial role in defining and delivering products that meet the needs of our passionate film-loving audience and contribute significantly to MUBI's growth and success.

As a Mid-weight PM in our team, you will have the opportunity for significant ownership and direct influence on the product roadmap. You'll also be responsible for shaping and delivering product features that enhance the MUBI experience.

Where you'll have impact:

  • Product Strategy & Discovery:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs, business goals, and market opportunities across MUBI core streaming service and film database, Notebook Magazine, MUBI GO app, MUBI Editions, MUBI Shop, and campaign websites.

    • Define and analyze product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation.

  • Product Execution & Delivery:

    • Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and initiatives based on strategic importance, user value, and technical feasibility.

    • Work closely with Design and Engineering teams in an agile environment to translate requirements into detailed specifications and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product features.

    • Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and planning through development, testing, launch, and post-launch iteration.

  • Performance & Iteration:

    • Define key metrics and KPIs to measure product performance and success.

    • Work closely with the Data Science team to analyze data, gather insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve product features and user experiences.

    • Gather and analyze user feedback through various channels to inform product improvements.

  • Stakeholder Management & Communication:

    • Act as the primary liaison between the Product team and key stakeholders (including Marketing, Content, Editorial, etc.) to gather requirements, provide product updates, and manage expectations.

    • Communicate the product vision, roadmap, and feature details clearly and effectively to all relevant parties.

What you will bring:

  • Product Management Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a relevant Product Management role, with a proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle and shipping successful features or products.

  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Strong ability to identify user problems and business opportunities, define clear product strategies, and develop creative and effective solutions.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform product decisions, define metrics, and measure the impact of features. Experience working with data teams and using analytics tools..

  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, Data Science) and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of software development processes and web/mobile technologies to effectively communicate with engineering teams.

  • User Centricity & Understanding of UX/UI: A deep understanding of user needs and behaviors, with a strong grasp of UX/UI principles to collaborate effectively with designers and advocate for the user.

  • Experience with Product Management Tools: Familiarity with tools used for backlog management, roadmapping, and documentation..

  • Adaptability & Proactiveness: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and proactively identify and address challenges.

Bonus expertise:

  • Experience in the streaming, media, editorial, or e-commerce industries.

  • Experience working on subscription-based products.

  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.

  • Familiarity with user research methodologies.
