About MUBI

MUBI is a global streaming service, production company and film distributor dedicated to elevating great cinema. To make this possible, we create, curate, acquire and champion visionary films, bringing them to audiences all over the world. We have a team of brilliant, dedicated and passionate people to help bring our mission to life. From London to New York, Istanbul to Paris, and Berlin to Mexico - we work together to realize MUBI’s vision.

That’s where you come in! Join our global team and help us make great cinema accessible to everyone, everywhere.

About the Role

With so many exciting releases ahead of us, we're looking for an experienced film marketer to join our Global Releases Marketing Team and play a crucial role in delivering creative, high quality campaigns for our upcoming slate of MUBI Releases and Productions. As campaign lead for a variety of new titles, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on our wider strategy and how we deliver campaigns to our audiences across the globe.

This is a London-based role requiring a presence in our London HQ at least three days a week.

Where you’ll have impact:

  • You’ll be leading the marketing campaigns for a set of new releases across territories, and across all windows — from theatrical to streaming. Developing positioning and marketing strategy documents in consultation with the wider Marketing, Distribution, and Communications teams

  • Working closely with the Creative team on the development of key campaign materials (trailer, key art, social media assets, clips)

  • Building trust and close relationships with filmmakers and other key stakeholders throughout the process

  • Campaign deck building and presentations for filmmakers

  • Managing asset localization and proofing process, working in tandem with internal teams and external sub-distributors

  • Collaborating with MUBI’s organic social and influencer teams to maximize social engagement and reach

  • Working with local marketing teams across each of MUBI’s core territories to bring the campaign to life across all windows.

  • Copywriting for email builds, organic social and paid digital setup

  • Prepare wrap-up reports & update trackers covering performance and related activations

  • Manage creative approvals with filmmakers, producers, and sales executives

What you’ll bring:

  • Between 5-7 years’ experience in film and/or entertainment marketing, with at least 2-3 years experience leading campaigns

  • A passion for quality independent and specialty cinema

  • A creative, out-of-the-box thinker with lots of great ideas, energy and enthusiasm

  • Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to adapt to MUBI’s brand voice

  • Highly collaborative; enjoys working cross functionally, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and peers

  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the digital landscape, from social to streaming

  • A diligent, highly organized and eager learner who pays close attention to detail

  • A dedication to streamlining each and every campaign

  • Strong working knowledge of the Google Drive suite

  • Familiarity with Asana, Braze, Photoshop and Premiere Pro desirable

  • Given you’ll be supporting releases across multiple territories and managing asset localization, additional languages would be a plus

We want to make cinema accessible to everyone. We believe people from different backgrounds bring different ideas that foster innovation and engagement, allowing us to attract great people to develop the best experience for our users.
