Job Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Product Development Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the development and improvement of our company's smartphone-enabled preventative healthcare solution. You will be responsible for conducting research, designing, and performing experiments, and analysing data to develop innovative and high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and design specifications.
• Design and execute verification & validation experiments to develop new products or improve existing ones.
• Analyse experimental data using statistical methods and interpret the results.
• Develop and optimize product formulations, processes, and manufacturing procedures.
• Conduct stability studies and evaluate product performance under various conditions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality control teams to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and customer preferences.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in product scale-up and commercialization activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Essential Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in product development, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
• Strong knowledge of scientific principles and experimental design.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data interpretation.
• Experience with formulation development and optimization.
• Experience in IVD assay development and optimisation.
• Experience in writing Technical Documentation.
• Experience in designing, writing up and executing Verification and Validation activities.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
