How you will make a difference:
As our Account Manager (AM) you will be responsible for the strategic development and growth of a portfolio of high-value accounts across Southern Europe. This role focuses on expanding existing client relationships by identifying new opportunities, positioning additional Safeguard solutions, and driving measurable account growth.
As a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, the AM will cultivate strong executive relationships, gain a deep understanding of each client’s business strategy, and ensure Safeguard is positioned as a long-term strategic partner.
This is a highly client-facing role requiring close collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, performance tracking, and consistent communication around key performance indicators. The successful candidate will proactively anticipate client needs, provide consultative insights, and ensure that each account reaches its full growth potential while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
- Own and deliver against monthly and quarterly revenue quotas through expansion within a portfolio of strategic accounts
- Identify, develop, and close opportunities to expand Safeguard’s services within existing client organizations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders including C-level executives, HR leaders, and People teams
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s strategic priorities, growth plans, and geographic expansion initiatives
- Provide consultative insights on new market entries and workforce expansion strategies
- Maintain accurate forecasts and account development plans to support revenue targets
- Conduct regular business reviews (quarterly and annual) with clients to assess performance, opportunities, and strategic alignment
- Lead recurring client meetings to review KPIs, operational performance, and future initiatives
- Design and implement client-specific workflows to ensure operational alignment between Safeguard and the client organization
- Act as the primary escalation point for client issues, coordinating internally to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Collaborate closely with internal departments across multiple time zones to ensure high service standards and transparent communication
- Deliver exceptional responsiveness and client service at all stages of the engagement lifecycle
- Conduct quarterly or semi-annual client site visits to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
What will make you stand out:
- Fluent in Spanish and English (essential), with French as a strong advantage
- Strong background in B2B consultative sales, account management, or customer success, ideally within international or HR-related services
- Demonstrated success in building, managing, and expanding strategic client relationships
- A commercially driven mindset with the ability to spot opportunities and turn them into revenue growth
- Confident engaging and influencing C-level executives, HR Directors, and People leaders
- Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and organizational capabilities
- Results-focused and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural talent for building trust and long-term partnerships
- A collaborative, global mindset, thriving in cross-functional and international teams
