We're on a mission to change the way businesses make decisions with our cutting-edge AI technology. To achieve that, we’re looking for passionate people to join our open and unconventional workplace. Our inclusive environment welcomes skills and experiences from diverse backgrounds and defines who we are.

Who are we looking for? Who are you?

Signal AI is hiring a Strategic Solution Reputation Lead. In this role, you will turn our first-of-its-kind Reputation GPS platform—which quantifies the reputation of hundreds of companies—into insights and storytelling that make companies smarter.

You’ll dive into data, understand what’s shaping corporate reputation in dozens of industries, and communicate those insights to prospective customers. Your job is to have a finger on the pulse of what’s driving corporate reputation and contextualize the “why” behind the data for communications and marketing teams at Fortune 500 companies.

It’s the perfect opportunity for people who love diving into the data, uncovering the exciting stories to tell, and presenting them with wit and personality. You’ll operate like a hybrid of a data journalist from FiveThirtyEight, a strategy consultant from McKinsey, and a project manager who runs an end-to-end process, from initial research to final presentation.

Salary band: $100,000 to $120,000

In this role, you will:

  • Lead new business processes from start to finish, operating autonomously and looping in colleagues across multiple offices.
  • Learn prospective customers’ communications and corporate strategy through research; understand the in’s and out’s of several industries; and distill ideas on companies’ strengths, opportunities and pain points.
  • Dive into the data to uncover and present insights about what drives reputation in easy-to-understand, compelling ways.
  • Nurture relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their needs and how Kelp can elevate their reputation and shape their strategy.
  • Author thought leadership on the topics, trends, and dynamics that shape reputation across industries—from DE&I to emerging technologies, and anything in between.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in PR or marketing agencies, corporate communications, or brand marketing.
  • Superb PowerPoint ability, particularly for communications strategy and data insights.
  • Passion for new business development, including sales outreach and pitches.
  • Process organization and capacity to coordinate multiple teams across the globe.
  • Curiosity about the business models of industries, organizations, and executives.
  • Desire to explore the data, with a knack for translating raw information into actionable insights.

Desired mentality:

  • We’ll provide you with the most advanced analytics suite to make sense of millions of data points—but you’ve got a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality: You enjoy looking for the data points that tell stories executives don’t already know.
  • Strong ability to translate and “TL;DR” your research into business insights for C-Suite leaders, enabling them to make clear business decisions.
  • Attention to detail. (You don’t mind—or even enjoy—copy editing and wonder if “copy editing” should have a hyphen. You get excited by shortcuts to make processes easier, more standardized, and more user-friendly.)
  • Excitement to visualize and cogently convey your findings for our customers. (We do have a designer, but we expect you to have a sharp sense for slides.)
  • Confidence to act independently coupled with enjoyment of working within a team.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Experience with dashboarding solutions like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excel and data literacy to “slice and dice” the data into your own pivot views.
  • Experience in PR analytics and recommendations a plus.

Our ideal candidate may have spent the last 3 to 5 years in a research, strategy or communications role, looking at quant and/or qual data to advise on communications, marketing, or brand strategy. You likely enjoy meeting new people, growing relationships, and bringing on new business or expanding a client’s portfolio. You may have worked at a PR and communications firm, in corporate communications, or in a market research company, management consulting firm, news organization, or advertising agency. Or you may have spent time in different organizational contexts, honing similar skills.

Deep down, you’re ambitious, inventive, curious, and creative. You have had experience earning trust and growing relationships, within your organization and perhaps with clients. You intuit that executives want more simplicity, more gravitas, and more actionability than what most research offers. You know how big data can be manipulated with inherent bias, and you want to be hands-on in distilling valuable insight.

Finally, you’re ready to join a more adventurous company, with the chance to learn and shape the future trajectory of technology and communications strategy. It will also be your opportunity to get closer to business strategy and product development, working closely with the founders of the business. You’ll be joining a fast-growing startup, ready to take on the thrills (and rewards) of a small structure set up to disrupt a market.

Don’t meet every single skill or experience listed? Academic research has shown that women and people of other underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We know that diverse teams perform better so if your experience doesn’t fit perfectly but you’re excited about this role, we’d love for you to apply.

We’re committed to building and fostering an inclusive environment where colleagues feel welcomed, valued and listened to - an environment where they thrive being their true selves.

  • Hybrid Working Environment - we have a hybrid remote policy with 2-3 days remote per week, plus Summer & Winter fully remote blocks wherever works for you, including abroad.
  • Unlimited holiday entitlement.
  • Share options.
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Dependents Leave policies.
  • Full benefits, including a 401k with employer match.
