Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager II works independently to plan, monitor, and manage multiple, diverse medium to large projects of high complexity across multiple teams, departments, service centers and client locations that have a direct impact on the organization and are highly visible. The Senior Project Manager II will act as a single point of accountability on assigned projects, secure required resources, use Parallon Project Services project controls and standards, and ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. The Senior Project Manager II must demonstrate a strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by proactively communicating and taking ownership of risks and issues, and by facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner. Moderate travel may be required, based upon job role.
Supervisor: Project Director or above
Supervises: May be required to supervise Senior Project Manager I positions or below.
Duties (included but are not limited to):
• Organize project activities into manageable work efforts for team members, and determine an effective approach to completing the work, as outlined in project plan.
• Author/facilitate strategic documents such as Project Charters, Education and Communication plans, and detailed project plans, and present project updates to business owners.
• Manage and communicate a clear project scope and motivate team members.
• Manage multiple business owner(s) and team member(s) relationships to accomplish project activities.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies.
• Monitor and report on project activities and reporting on statuses within published timelines.
• Coach team members to clarify task assignments, milestones, and deliverables.
• Identify, prepare, and/or ensure completion of high quality, professional deliverables as required by each project plan.
• Facilitate the creation of toolkits to support field-based implementations.

PC / Technical Skills – proficiency or willingness to learn
o Microsoft Office applications (including OneNote, OneDrive, Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint to include Office Timeline add-on)
o Online collaboration tools, such as WebEx, WebEx Teams, online facilitation tools and/or other conference calling tools
o Project Management tools, project scheduling tools, agile scheduling tools, including Microsoft Project, MS Planner and/or another project scheduling tool

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Healthcare, hospital system, hospital, supply chain, workforce management, financial services,
technical/systems experience a plus.
• HCA Healthcare, HealthTrust, or Parallon experience a plus.
Certificate/License:
• PMP preferred, but not required
• LEAN and/or SIX SIGMA certification(s) a plus, but not required
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Requires prolonged sitting and some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment.
Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
OSHA Category:
The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids).
