📢 Hiring | Senior Trade Finance Consultant (BankTrade) | Jakarta, Indonesia | Part-Time Consulting Engagement | USD Payout

An exciting opportunity to join a globally renowned Tier-1 strategy consulting firm supporting one of Indonesia's leading banks on a Trade Finance transformation and system assessment programme.

The selected consultant will be contracted directly by the consulting firm and work alongside its senior consulting team while supporting the end client's Trade Finance transformation initiative.

Role: Senior Trade Finance Consultant (BankTrade)

📍 Location: Jakarta, Indonesia (50%+ Onsite)

📅 Engagement: August 2026 – November 2026 (subject to extension)

⏳ Commitment: Minimum 1–2 days per week

💰 Payout: Competitive USD-based consulting rates

What You'll Do

• Assess the back-end capabilities and functional coverage of the BankTrade Trade Finance platform.
• Advise on critical vs. optional Trade Finance functionalities.
• Evaluate out-of-the-box capabilities versus customization and enhancement requirements.
• Provide subject matter expertise across:
• Letter of Credit (LC)
• Bank Guarantees
• Trade Financing
• Trade Loans
• Review end-to-end Trade Finance processes, including issuance, amendments, document checking, settlement, facility limit management, pricing, and workflow configuration.
• Challenge implementation decisions and provide best-practice recommendations to ensure a scalable, fit-for-purpose solution.
• Collaborate with senior consulting leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams throughout the assessment.

We're Looking For

• Deep expertise in Trade Finance operations and back-end product functionality.
• Strong knowledge of product configuration, pricing, facility limits, payment terms, workflow design, and system configuration.
• Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience implementing the BankTrade platform for an Indonesian bank.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian banking regulations and local market practices.
• Able to engage credibly with C-level and senior business stakeholders while remaining hands-on in functional and system discussions.
