Job Description
We’re looking for a Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team, based in Ireland. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and plays a vital part in supporting our Irish operations and maintaining the smooth and efficient flow of raw materials.
You’ll be joining a collaborative team working across buying, planning, logistics, and supplier engagement. This is a new and exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in a growing territory for Gousto, with real ownership to shape how we plan and manage materials. You’ll work closely with our co-packer and suppliers to ensure we always have the right ingredients and packaging at the right time.
This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week), working on a shift basis across both weekdays and weekends. We’re looking for candidates who are happy to include weekends as part of their regular working pattern.
Core Responsbilities:
- Place and manage purchase orders for raw materials in line with production requirements
- Use production data, forecasts and inventory targets to guide planning decisions
- Monitor supplier performance, demand patterns and lead times to ensure availability
- Maintain effective day-to-day supplier relationships and resolve supply issues as they arise
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Buying, Quality, Operations, and our food teams to execute supply chain plans
- Analyse data to identify trends, assess performance and contribute to process improvements
- Help build supply planning processes tailored to the needs of the Irish operation
- Support the implementation of new ways of working as we grow in this new market
- Ensure our co-packer, Bond Freeze, has timely visibility of materials and planning schedules
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve supply reliability and efficiency
Who You Are:
- Skilled in using data to support planning and decision-making
- Confident working cross-functionally and building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
- Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and consistency
- Comfortable navigating supply issues and able to find practical solutions
- Knowledge of working with Irish food suppliers is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft D365, JDA and PowerBI is an advantage
- Open to learning, developing and adapting in a fast-paced environment
- Positive communicator, collaborative team player
- Curious, resourceful and proactive in solving challenges
