Job Description
People Services Advisor
Location: Warrington or London (Hybrid working - 1-2 days/week in the office)

Our People Services team supports our entire Gousto population, owning the key operational steps in the employee lifecycle. We’re on a journey to improve our ways of working by focusing on employee experience, simplicity, automation and compliance. We’re looking for a People Services Advisor to join our friendly and collaborative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead on process improvement initiatives, work across a wide range of people operations, and contribute to an inclusive and engaging employee experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding and offboarding process for salaried employees, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience
- Manage the contractor and freelancer onboarding process, supporting managers and ensuring compliance
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to resolve contract queries and ensure smooth pre-boarding
- Manage employee life cycle processes including contract changes and family leave entitlements
- Provide guidance on complex or escalated employee queries to People Services Assistants
- Advise managers on employee relations matters such as probations, absence, and flexible working requests
- Carry out exit interviews and support ER consistency across the business
- Drive improvements to people processes, focusing on automation, scalability and legal compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation including contracts, engagement plans, job descriptions, and org charts
- Build trusted relationships with People Partners and Line Managers, providing operational support and advice
- Deliver ad-hoc training and occasional office support, including event coordination and reception cover
Who You Are
- You have generalist HR knowledge gained in a fast-paced, commercial environment
- You build trust and form strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- You have an excellent eye for detail and pride yourself on delivering high-quality work
- You are proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused in your approach
- You thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to shared goals
- You demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
- You are resilient and adaptable, able to manage ambiguity and changing priorities
- You’re highly organised, deadline-focused, and comfortable prioritising workload
- You are confident working with HR systems, Google Docs and Sheets (including pivot tables and formulas)
- You understand how to use HR data and analytics to generate reports and insights
- CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential
