Job Description
Job Title: Insight Lead
Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: London, Hybrid
You will lead the Insight team’s strategy and planning, taking ownership of the insight roadmap and delivering strategic insight projects across the business. Working closely with the Head of Customer Strategy & Sustainability, you will drive initiatives around customer-centricity, best practice, and tooling to ensure Gousto continues to increase value for its customers.
This role is pivotal as a link with senior stakeholders across our Choice and Activate tribes, as well as our Proposition Strategy function. You will lead a small team of three, fostering a culture of development and coaching while managing research projects that ensure best practice is maintained across all team outputs.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship with stakeholders in the Activate & Choice tribes and Proposition Strategy to identify knowledge gaps and build research project plans
- Lead large research projects across owned areas and support junior team members with smaller projects
- Support the development of the Gousto proposition roadmap with relevant insight and evolve our understanding of target customers
- Line manage two direct reports, providing weekly 1:1s and supporting their career progression through regular development sessions
- Run weekly team meetings to check in on current and upcoming projects and continuous OKRs
- Support the Insight Manager in running regular OKR check-ins and contributing to 2027 budget planning
- Manage the Insight budget by keeping an accurate track of all lines
- Build a sense of community and coach junior colleagues across the function
- Collaborate with other customer-facing teams, such as Analytics and Product Design, to share knowledge on relevant initiatives
- Implement best practices around data and research processes
Who You Are
- Experience in in-house market research, with additional experience in research agencies or the food and tech industry being a plus
- Track record of leading large insight projects from planning through to delivery and influencing commercial decisions
- Focus on business impact with evidence of driving commercial and customer value
- Experience in both qualitative and quantitative market research, including tracking programmes and consumer segmentation
- Foundational knowledge of user research theory to enable effective collaboration with user researchers
- Experience leading a small team and a passion for guiding the development of junior team members
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and create new processes and ways of working in a fast-moving environment
- Experience working with data and analytics functions to enhance insight learnings through behavioural data
- Skilled at engaging stakeholders across functions and levels to embed a customer-first approach
- Curiosity about using Gen AI and new approaches to enhance research through experimentation
