The Role

Join us as a Tech Lead, where you will lead and guide one of our development teams to build simple yet powerful solutions for complex problems in the healthcare space. Working closely with our talented product and medical teams, you will define the technical direction, drive execution, and directly contribute to our company's mission to drive innovation in digital healthcare. It's a key leadership position that blends hands-on coding, architectural oversight, and team mentorship, offering significant impact and room for growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the technical vision for your team's domain, defining architectural strategy and ensuring the solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
• Develop and contribute high-quality code directly, setting the standard for the team and actively engaging in the implementation of core features.
• Force technical simplicity by challenging complex requirements and designs, ensuring the team develops the most elegant and minimal solutions possible.
• Mentor and coach a team of 3-6 developers, conducting regular 1:1s, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their professional growth.
• Establish and enforce modern engineering practices, including rigorous code reviews, comprehensive testing strategies, and efficient CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and other stakeholders to refine requirements, estimate effort, and prioritize the team's roadmap for maximum business impact.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring application performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements to service reliability and deployment speed.

Your Profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is expected.
• 5+ years of practical experience in software development, with significant expertise in building and deploying complex applications.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership capacity, such as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Engineering Manager, guiding and managing a team of developers.
• Expertise in applying software architecture patterns to design robust, scalable systems and the ability to articulate trade-offs effectively.
• Strong knowledge of agile development and agile planning best practices, in addition to technical standards like Clean Code, design patterns, and testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated product thinking, with the ability to understand business context and translate user needs into technical solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Deep experience developing in TypeScript or JavaScript, as our primary language for development is TypeScript.
• Proven ability to simplify complex problems, demonstrating a track record of implementing straightforward and maintainable solutions.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills, with the capability to lead technical discussions and foster a high-performance team culture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the challenges and constraints of regulated industries, particularly healthcare or MedTech.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced, scale-up or startup environment.

The reference gross salary for Hungary is 2.000.000 HUF / month. Willingness to overpay is given and depends on the respective qualification and experience. On top of that, we also let all our employees participate in our Virtual Stock Option Plans (VSOPs), ensuring that they can directly benefit from our collective success.
